Foreigner in critical condition after fall at Jabal Shams

MUSCAT: A foreign national was seriously injured after falling from a height at Jabal Shams, prompting a rescue operation by the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

Police teams in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate responded to a report of the incident and, in coordination with Police Aviation, transported the injured person to Nizwa Hospital for medical treatment.

The ROP said the person's condition was classified as black, indicating an extremely critical condition under the classification used in the incident report.

The police urged visitors to mountainous areas to follow safety procedures, exercise caution and keep away from dangerous edges to prevent accidents.
