Oman Hajj Mission Departs for Holy Lands

Muscat: Oman Hajj Mission for 1447 AH departed the country on Wednesday for the Holy Lands. The mission is headed by Ahmed Saleh Al Rashidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.

The mission members were seen off at Muscat International Airport by Dr. Mohammed Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, Ibrahim Saad Bishan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Sultanate of Oman, and a number of officials from the Ministry.

Upon its arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, the mission is scheduled to proceed to Makkah, while a team from the mission will later head to Madinah. During its presence in Makkah and Madinah, Oman Hajj Mission will provide services to Omani pilgrims in the Holy Lands and oversee the performance of their rituals with ease and convenience.

The mission comprises several delegations, including the Fatwa and Religious Guidance delegation, the Administrative and Financial delegation, the Hajj Companies Supervision delegation, the Medical delegation, the State Audit Institution delegation, the Royal Oman Police delegation, and the Media delegation.

Notably, the number of pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman this year has reached 14,000, including 13,560 Omani citizens and 440 residents.
