ROP calls on public to report sightings of drones, aerial objects in Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has urged all citizens and residents to immediately report any sightings of drones or similar objects observed in the airspace or near vital facilities across the Sultanate of Oman.

In a statement ROP said: "The security authorities urge the esteemed citizens and residents to immediately report any sightings of drones or similar objects observed in the airspace or near vital facilities.

The competent authorities emphasise the importance of community cooperation in such cases to enhance public security and safety."

To report such sightings, the public is instructed to contact the dedicated WhatsApp number 77720078. Reports should include the specific location and an attached photograph to facilitate a swift response and allow the authorities to take the necessary measures.

The authorities emphasise the need to refrain from circulating or publishing any captured footage or images of these sightings.
