Kuwait confirms death of child after shrapnel falls in residential area

Kuwait: The State of Kuwait's Health Ministry has confirmed the tragic death of a child after a shrapnel fell in a residential area.

According to Kuwait Times, an 11-year-old expatriate child died from injuries sustained by falling sharpnel in a residential area in the Assima Governorate.

The victim was rushed to the Amiri Hospital in critical condition, and succumed to her injuries despite resusciation attempts that lasted for nearly half an hour, Kuwaiti Ministry's spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said.

Four members of the victim's family are currently in the hospital for medical evaluation, Dr. Al-Sanad added.
