
Mirbat:The Arabian Sea Resort was inaugurated today in the Wilayat of Mirbat, the Governorate of Dhofar.
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed Mohsin Al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality. This inauguration comes as part of the efforts aimed at enhancing the infrastructure of the tourism sector in Dhofar Governorate.
Talal Humaid Al Khusaibi, Director General of Heritage and Tourism in Dhofar Governorate, said that the resort's opening represents a qualitative addition to the tourism components of the Governorate. He noted that it aligns with the directions of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in supporting sustainable tourism investment and developing coastal Wilayats, thereby raising the quality of the tourism experience and enhancing Dhofar's position as an attractive year-round tourist destination.
He added that the project embodies a model of integration between the government and private sectors, pointing out that the resort will contribute to stimulating tourist activity in the Wilayat of Mirbat, providing job opportunities, and supporting SMEs linked to the sector, while considering the local identity and coastal character in its design.
The "Arabian Sea Resort" features 60 rooms with different views of the sea and the resort's gardens, along with luxurious accommodation units that include sea-view suites, private villas with pools, and dedicated family rooms. It also offers multiple facilities, including swimming pools for adults and children, a marine activities center, an adventure area for children, in addition to integrated services such as 24-hour room service, free parking, and equipped meeting rooms.
The resort is characterized by an architectural style inspired by the Omani identity, offering an experience that combines authenticity, modernity, and the distinctiveness of the coastal environment in the Wilayat of Mirbat.
