Cairo: On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, participated in the official opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo on Saturday.
Upon his arrival at the museum, he was received by the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, his spouse and several officials.
In an official press statement, HH the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth expressed his profound honour at having represented His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik at the inauguration ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
His Highness emphasizes that this monumental achievement reflects the new Egypt's vision to safeguard its human heritage and present it through a contemporary lens, positioning the nation among the leading countries that successfully balance cultural authenticity and modern innovation in the fields of culture and museums.
HH affirmed that the Sultanate of Oman views this monumental achievement with profound pride and honor, noting that it represents not only Egypt but the entire Arab world.
