Talabat Oman’s delivery services disrupted

MUSCAT: A large number of customers were left frustrated after Talabat Oman, the Sultanate’s most popular online food delivery platform, experienced a major service outage that halted orders and deliveries.

Customers contacted Times of Oman to express their grievances, reporting that they have been unable to place or receive orders over the past two days.

As of the time of this report, Talabat Oman has not issued a formal public statement regarding the cause of the disruption or an estimated time for service restoration. Times of Oman has reached out to the company and is awaiting an official response.

Users attempting to access the mobile app or website said that most restaurants appear as “closed” or “unavailable,” effectively rendering the platform unusable.

This widespread interruption has caused significant inconvenience for residents who rely on the service for their daily meals. For many in Oman, Talabat has become an essential part of daily life, connecting consumers with more than 5,000 vendors — many of them local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The ongoing technical issue has not only impacted customers but is also likely affecting the operations and revenue of numerous local restaurants and delivery drivers who depend on the platform.
