Muscat: The Muscat Music and Art Academy concluded its 2025 summer programme at the National Museum, a two-month initiative that saw the participation of 32 trainees.
The closing ceremony was held under the auspices of Jamal Hassan Al Moosawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum, with an audience of officials, parents of the trainees, and those with an interest in music and arts.
Yahya Abdullah Al Dhanki, Director of the Muscat Music and Art Academy, stated that the event was the culmination of a comprehensive summer programme. The curriculum included a series of theoretical and practical music lectures, along with workshops and training activities designed to hone participants' skills. The director noted that these efforts reinforced cultural identity and preserved Omani musical arts.
Al Dhanki added that the programme is part of the academy's broader mission to foster integration with official and private sectors related to music and arts. This also contributes to the development of Oman's cultural and artistic landscape. The academy aims to establish and support educational platforms that nurture emerging talent and provide opportunities for expression and creativity in a holistic learning environment.
The annual programme is designed to develop creativity and innovation in children aged three and more, and to build their self-confidence through musical and artistic performances. It also provides a platform for young talent to showcase their skills to the public, linking arts with national cultural institutions to strengthen identity and belonging.
