Samail: Starcare Group officially launched Sahaclinic, its new brand for first low priced care in Samail along with an attached Apple Pharmacy. The first of its kind chain of branded neighborhood clinics with pharmacies was inaugurated by His Excellency Sheikh Majid Bin Khalifa Al Harthi, the Wali of Samail in the presence of dignitaries from Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labour, other government and esteemed members from the press and the local community.
This is yet another major milestone achieved by Starcare, in its ever-persistent bid to improve ease of access and add value to the health of various communities. With the launch of Sahaclinic, Starcare, the healthcare provider better known for pioneering the Quality and Accreditations systems in Oman has entered into the low-price segment in order to provide higher quality of care to a much larger population. The next Sahaclinic is getting ready to open at Barka by the end of this year, apart from the 3 other clinics at different stages of completion.
Sahaclinic is the first private medical Centre offering specialist outpatient care and short inpatient assistance at Samail, offering a big relief to the Samail and neighboring communities. Staffed by experienced and popular doctors, well trained nursing staff and supported by laboratory and radiology services, the clinic offers quality healthcare at affordable cost. It is a complete family medical centre with all the commonly needed medical specialties like Pediatrics, Gynecology, Ultrasound scan, General Medicine and Laboratory. More specialties including Orthopedics, Urology and ENT will be added very soon. Apple pharmacy attached to Sahaclinic offers medicines as well as related products at discounted prices and attractive offers.
“We plan to establish 20 SAHA Clinics and Apple Pharmacies by the end of 2021. The concept is to provide high quality care at low easily affordable prices, utilizing new information management systems and streamlined efficient process management. We are following the vision set out by the Minister of Health in increasing private sector participation in Muscat and outside of Muscat” commented Dr Sadik Kodakat, Chairman of Starcare Group.
“Currently the small private clinic segment in Oman is fragmented with no established brands in the market. SAHA Clinic will allow people in the Cities and villages to experience the same quality of service, supported by onsite specialists as well as telemedicine services from its larger parent hospitals” Nasser Batha, Group CEO of Starcare Group in Oman explained.
All SAHA clinics would be identical in its design, operational flow and clinical practices using standardizing software, medical equipment and scope of services. A typical SAHA Outpatient clinic would offer General Medicine, Gynecology and Pediatrics along with visiting consultants in other specialties as required by the community and supported by Laboratory and Pharmacy services. “SAHA Clinics being part of a large Healthcare company makes it easy for insurance companies and noninsured corporate companies to enter into contract with them. Many patients in Samail has been unable to use their insurance cards and now they will be able to do so” said Said Al Sulaimi, a delighted local shop owner who attended the inaugural ceremony.
Apple Pharmacy already operates 5 outlets across Oman and Samail is the sixth. “Apple being a symbol of wellness, balanced health and healthy lifestyle, we promote exactly that”, said Shijas, General Manager for Apple pharmacies. In Samail, people are very much cost conscious and we are taking extra care to promote lower cost products after ensuring their quality. We strictly follow Pharmacy Department of Ministry of Health and JCI accreditation guidelines and established of a culture of patient safety while we strive to offer cheaper products and encourage healthy lifestyle to reduce the consumption of medicines, he added.
