Muscat: As Oman celebrates its 47th National Day with pride, patriotic fervour and enthusiasm, Lulu Hypermarket has come up with an innovative and conspicuous twist to celebrate the special occasion.
The group has produced a special song as a humble tribute to the nation, its great leader, and the people and an expression of its love and gratitude to the country for paving the way towards prosperity.
The song titled ‘Salaam to the people of Oman’ was composed and sung by Salah Al Zadjali. Humaid Al Balushi has penned the lyrics for the song. The song launch event and a live performance by Zadjali were held at the Oman Avenues Mall Food Court on November 18.
The song’s vibrant and catchy lyrics and upbeat tune capture the real essence of patriotism in a unique style. The song speaks about the glory of the nation as a shadow of peace, its reputation, and the sentiments and love that bind the people together.
Commenting on the launch of the song, Ashraf Ali M. A., executive director - Lulu Group International said, “We are indeed proud and excited to have launched such an initiative to celebrate our 47th National Day. As Oman steps into its 48th year, we have every reason to celebrate. We have come up with this idea, as we wanted to create something new and fresh to celebrate this occasion. We dedicate this song to the entire nation and our beloved leader, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, who has taken every effort to transform this great nation into what it is today.”
“The country has provided us with a positive growth environment and supported us in all our endeavours to achieve success. On this auspicious day, we are happy to express our gratitude and honour to His Majesty and the people of this noble country for their love, kindness and encouragement. We look forward to reaching greater heights in the years to come,” he added.
There was a grand display of loyalty, affection and joy as all Lulu outlets across the country donned a festive look and marked the special day in remarkable ways. All outlets have been decked up with balloons, craftworks, and ribbons depicting the tricolours of the flag. Special offers and promotions were also organised as part of the event.
