National Emergency Management Committee reviews response to grounded ship off Hallaniyat Islands

Muscat: The National Emergency Management Committee reviewed the ongoing efforts in dealing with the grounded ship off the Hallaniyat Islands in the Dhofar Governorate. 

The National Emergency Management Committee held a meeting today, chaired by His Excellency Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsen Al Shuraqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs and Chairman of the National Emergency Management Committee.

During the meeting, a number of topics were discussed to enhance the efficiency of the committee's system in responding to emergencies.

The National Committee reviewed the ongoing efforts to deal with the grounded vessel off the Hallaniyat Islands in the Dhofar Governorate, and assessed the latest developments in the situation. It emphasized the importance of continuing to take all necessary measures to mitigate potential risks to public safety and the marine environment of the Sultanate of Oman, in accordance with the established plans.
