Ministry of Transport addresses field challenges and community feedback on Jabal Maqta'a road project

Muscat :The 'Jabal Maqta'a' road project in Dima Wattayyen, North Al Sharqiyah Governorate faced a number of field and logistical challenges, which have been dealt with, said the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MoTCIT).

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MoTCIT) has responded to public feedback circulated on media platforms regarding concrete paving works on the project.

Following joint field visits and consultations with local community representatives, the Governor's office, and the contractor, MoTCIT instructed the project contractor to update implementation procedures and execute required corrective works. The Ministry emphasised that the road construction adheres to approved technical specifications under strict technical supervision.

While acknowledging field and logistical hurdles caused by rugged mountainous terrain and flash flood risks, MoTCIT confirmed that modified work plans and site protection measures are actively being implemented to ensure full contractual compliance before final project acceptance.

The Ministry affirms its continued openness to feedback and suggestions from road users, it also emphasizes the importance of verifying the accuracy of information.
