Muscat: Several regions around the world will experience a partial lunar eclipse on Friday, August 28, 2026, said the Astronomical Affairs.
In the Sultanate of Oman, only a penumbral eclipse will be visible from 5:23 AM to 5:43 AM as the moon sets. It may be difficult to notice any change with the naked eye due to its subtle effect, its interference with the dawn light, and the moon's proximity to the horizon.
A partial lunar eclipse will occur globally, and some phases will be visible in Europe, western Asia, Africa, North America, South America, the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and Antarctica.
