
Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) Coast Guard Command rescued three people after their boat capsized while they were practicing rowing near Qurum Beach in Muscat Governorate.
The three individuals were found struggling in the water following the incident, and Coast Guard personnel successfully rescued them.
In a separate incident, a Coast Guard Police Unit patrol in North Al Batinah Governorate spotted a child on the verge of drowning off Silver Jubilee Park in Sohar.
The patrol team immediately intervened, rescued the child and provided him with first aid. He was reported to be in good health.
The incidents highlight the importance of taking necessary safety precautions while engaging in water and marine activities, particularly in areas with strong currents or changing sea conditions.
