Organ donation campaign begins in Dhofar Governorate

Salalah:  As part of activities of Khareef Dhofar (monsoon) season, a 5-day campaign on organ donation and surgical health kicked off today at Atin Plain in the Wilayat of Salalah, Governorate of Dhofar.

The campaign, codenamed “Life After Life”, seeks to raise public awareness about the importance of organ donation. It also aims to foster a health culture focusing in the fields of surgery, prevention of diseases and early detection of health complications.

The campaign’s launch ceremony was held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar. It was attended by local dignitaries and representatives of government departments, health establishments, academic institutions and supporting bodies.

The campaign constitutes a platform for direct communication between community members, doctors and specialists. It contributes to correcting misconceptions and developing sound health decisions.
