Coast Guard rescues Omani after boat sinks off Salalah

Muscat: A Coast Guard Police unit in Dhofar Governorate rescued an Omani citizen after his boat sank off the coast of the Wilayat of Salalah due to rough seas and high waves.

The rescued man was provided with the necessary first aid and was reported to be in good health, according to the Royal Oman Police.

GCC national arrested for dangerous drifting

The Dhofar Governorate Police Command has arrested a GCC national for performing dangerous stunts and drifting with his vehicle in the Wilayat of Salalah.

According to the Royal Oman Police, the driver endangered both himself and other road users through his reckless driving. Legal procedures are being completed against him.
