
Al Buraimi: Acting in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Riyada) on Sunday launched a week-long a student entrepreneurial training and innovation programme titled “Future Leaders Camp 2026”. The camp, opened at Al Buraimi Centre for Sciences and Innovation, is being attended by 70 school students of classes 7, 8 and 9.
The camp aims to foster a culture of innovative thinking and entrepreneurship and provide the students with basic knowledge to convert their entrepreneurial ideas into real-world projects. This will provide broad range of training programmes and interactive activities designed to link theoretical gains with field application.
The programme comprises 5 integrated training modules, which start with generating ideas and developing ideas in a manner that enables the students to build prototypes using artificial intelligence (AI) applications. The students will draft presentations about the envisaged projects and showcase their projects before a jury.
The programme constitutes a link in ongoing efforts made by Riyada, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among young people, hone their skills and prepare them to efficiently shape a knowledge-based future and diversified national economy.
