Driver steals car from man who offered help after accident in Oman

MUSCAT: The South Al Batinah Governorate Police Command of the Royal Oman Police arrested an Arab national accused of stealing a citizen’s vehicle after the owner stopped to assist him following a traffic accident in Rustaq Governorate.

According to police, the suspect had been involved in a traffic accident when the citizen pulled over to offer help. The accused allegedly took possession of the vehicle and fled the scene.

Authorities said the suspect drove the vehicle to Al-Masna'ah Governorate, where he was later apprehended by police.

The Royal Oman Police confirmed that legal procedures against the suspect are currently being completed.
