Muscat: Sabeen Investment Company expressed its deep sorrow and profound condolences regarding the tragic incident that occurred during construction work at one of the company’s development sites in Muttrah.
The incident involved the collapse of a construction structure, which regrettably resulted in the death of two workers and injuries to others at the Muttrah Cable Car project.
The company confirmed that the incident took place during construction and installation works within the project site. It was not related to any operational or commercial activities, contrary to inaccurate information that has been circulated. The incident is associated with technical and safety procedures during execution and the supervision of safety measures.
Sabeen Investment Company commended the swift response and professional efforts of the Royal Oman Police and the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority, who provided immediate assistance and support to those affected.
The company reaffirmed its full commitment to cooperating with all relevant authorities and emphasizes its adherence to occupational safety and health standards across all its work sites. Any further actions will be taken based on the outcomes of the official investigations.
