Shinas Port handles over 162,000 tonnes of cargo in 2025 third quarter

Shinas: Shinas Port in the North Al Batinah Governorate witnessed notable growth in its performance during the third quarter of 2025. The total volume of cargo handled reached 162,362 tonnes, comprising 159,258 tonnes of imports and 3,103 tonnes of exports, reflecting a significant increase compared to previous periods.

Khatir Ali Al Ma'amari, Executive Manager of Shinas Port, stated that the port received diverse imports, including 6,778 tonnes of construction and building materials, 110 tonnes of food supplies, in addition to 1,047 tonnes of general cargo. The port also received 19,882 heads of livestock and camels.

Regarding exports, the Executive Manager clarified that the total export quantity reached 3,103 tonnes. This included 102 tonnes of food supplies, 259 tonnes of building materials, 1,160 tonnes of general cargo, and 19,882 heads of livestock and camels.

He explained that the strong performance of Shinas Port reflects the significant developments in its infrastructure and the services provided. This enhances its role as one of the main ports in the Sultanate of Oman and continues to support diverse economic sectors.
