Customs officials seize alcohol bottles, cigarettes in raids

Muscat: The Compliance and Risk Assessment Department of Oman Customs carried out a number of raids at various sites, resulting in the seizure of more than 12,470 bottles of liquor and cans of alcoholic beverages.

More than 5,050 packets  of assorted cigarettes, in addition to 918 kilograms of tobacco derivatives, were also confiscated in the raid.
