Digital Universities in the Arab World conference discusses innovative and sustainable education

A’Seeb: A conference titled "Digital Universities in the Arab World" kicked off today with the aim of discussing digital innovation for sustainable and resilient higher education.

The event discusses the latest global trends in digital university education, reviewing leading experiences in transitioning toward innovative and sustainable education, and exploring collaboration prospects among Arab universities in educational technology, artificial intelligence, and blended learning.

The opening of the conference was held under the auspices of Khamis Saif Al Jabri, Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit.

Hosted by the Sultanate of Oman in Muscat and organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation in collaboration with the Arab Open University, the two-day conference has brought together more than 300 participants, over 80 specialized speakers from 28 countries, more than 100 organizers, and nearly 70 higher education institutions. This impressive turnout reflects the significant momentum and shared commitment to advancing digital transformation in the region's higher education sector.

The conference program includes specialized dialogue sessions and workshops covering various topics, including "The Future of Hybrid and Virtual Learning," "The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on University Institutions," "Governance Models in Light of Digital Transformations," and "Mechanisms for Evaluating Universities' Response”.
