Times of Oman  and Embassy of India  in Oman celebrate  young creative talent

Muscat : Times of Oman, in association with the Embassy of India in Oman, hosted a special ceremony to recognize the young participants of its Art Competition, held to commemorate the 79th Independence Day of India.

The evening was graced by the presence of His Excellency Mr. GV Srinivas, Ambassador of India to Oman, and Mr. Fadi Kattar, Chief Operating Officer of Muscat Media Group, publisher of Times of Oman.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives of Times of Oman expressed gratitude to the Indian Embassy for its support and encouragement in making the initiative a success, as well as to the event sponsors for their contribution. The event, supported by Shah Nagardas, Khimji Ramdas Group and Lulu Exchange celebrated the creativity, imagination and artistic expression of children across three age categories: 4-8 years, 9-11 years and 12-14 years.

Hundreds of young participants showcased their love for India through art, with select children receiving certificates of participation and appreciation during the ceremony. Adding a cultural highlight to the evening, talented students from the Delicious Dance Academy and King’s United Muscat presented vibrant dance performances, bringing colour and energy to the celebrations.

“This initiative is a reflection of our commitment to fostering creativity, community spirit and cultural exchange,” said a Times of Oman spokesperson. “We are delighted to provide a platform for children to express their talent while commemorating India’s Independence Day.”

The Art Competition and certificate ceremony underlined the shared values of art, culture and community between Oman and India, strengthening the spirit of friendship and collaboration.
