Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has strongly condemned the statements made by the Prime Minister of the Israeli government and his claims regarding the so-called "Greater Israel”.
Oman expressed its categorical rejection of his illegal expansionist schemes, which blatantly violate international law and infringe upon the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on their lands in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem as its capital.
In a statement issued today by the Foreign Ministry, Oman emphasized that these expansionist propositions pose a direct threat to the security and stability of the region, fueling hostility and tension at a time when de-escalation, cooperation among regional states, and respect for the principles of national sovereignty and good neighborliness are most needed.
Oman also reaffirmed its steadfast stance in supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of regional states and its firm rejection of any schemes aimed at undermining national entities or altering the political geography of the region.
Oman reiterated its unwavering commitment to supporting the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to establish an independent state along the 4 June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
The Sultanate of Oman has called upon the international community to take a firm stance against these aggressive policies and to work toward safeguarding the rights of the Palestinian people, ensuring the achievement of a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
