Muscat: The Ministry of Education will announce on Thursday, July 17, 2025 the results of the General Education Diploma and equivalent examinations for the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.
Her Excellency Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education, approved the general indicators for the results of the General Education Diploma and equivalent examinations for the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.
The number of applicants for the General Education Diploma was 54,856 students, with a success rate of 82.83 percent. The number of applicants for the General Education Diploma for private schools (bilingual) was 1,579, with a success rate of 91.58 percent. The number of applicants for the General Education and Islamic Studies Diploma was 121 students, with a success rate of 100 percent.
The number of applicants for the General Education Diploma (Special Education) reached 61 students, representing a success rate of 86.89 percent. The number of applicants for the General Vocational and Technical Education Diploma reached 138, representing a success rate of 100 percent.
Her Excellency Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education, congratulated her sons and daughters, the students, on their success and congratulated their parents for their efforts in achieving their children's aspirations.
The results will be available starting at 4:00 PM tomorrow, Thursday, via SMS service via telecommunications companies by sending a text message containing the seating number to the number (90200).
In order to ensure compliance with exam administration regulations, the Ministry has taken all necessary measures to ensure that the exams proceed as planned and in a calm and comfortable educational environment. Applicants took their exams this year at (366) exam centers distributed across all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
(16) violations of the regulations governing the administration of General Education Diploma examinations and their equivalents were also detected, and the necessary measures were taken in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. (588/2015) regarding the regulations governing the administration of General Education Diploma examinations and their equivalents. Within the framework of these violations, the Ministry investigated all the surrounding circumstances to verify and confirm each case before applying appropriate penalties in coordination with the relevant authorities.
