Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued two Royal decrees, reading as follows:
Royal Decree No. 33/2025 conducts placements in the Diplomatic Corps
Article (1) states that HH Sayyid Faisal bin Turki bin Mahmoud Al Said, the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and its Permanent Representative to the Digital Cooperation Organization in Riyadh, shall be transferred to the General Diwan of the Foreign Ministry.
Article (2) transfers Talal bin Sulaiman bin Habib Al Rahbi, the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil and appoints him as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the United States of America.
It also transfers Abdulghafar bin Abdulkarim bin Issa Al Balushi, the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the People's Republic of Bangladesh and appoints him as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil.
Article (3) appoints Sayyid Najib bin Hilal bin Saud Al Busaidi as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and its Permanent Representative to the Digital Cooperation Organization in Riyadh.
Article (4) grants Thamir bin Fayez bin Khalfan Al Alawi the title of ambassador and appoints him as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain.
Article (5) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
Royal Decree No. 34/2025 appoints a Non-resident Ambassador
Article (1) appoints Issa bin Saleh bin Abdullah Al Shaibani, the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of India as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bhutan.
Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
