GDP at current prices grows 2.7% at end of Q3 of 2024

Muscat: The gross domestic product (GDP) at current prices of the Sultanate of Oman recorded an increase of 2.7% by the end of the third quarter of 2024 to reach (at market price) RO 30,642.0 million, compared to the end of the third quarter of 2023, during which the gross domestic product at current prices amounted to RO 29,845.4 million, according to primary data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

Petroleum activities increased by 0.3%, recording RO 10,766.2 million by the end of the third quarter of 2024, compared to RO 10,728.9 million by the end of the third quarter of 2023, with the contribution of oil activities reaching 35%.

Petroleum oil activities recorded RO 9,120.3 million, down by 0.1%, and natural gas activities increased by 3%, recording RO 1,645.9 million.

Total non-petroleum activities rose by 4.2%, recording RO 20,974.9 million by the end of the third quarter of 2024, compared to RO 20,120.4 million at the end of the corresponding quarter of 2023.

Total industrial activities increased by 5.4%, recorded RO 6,095.4 million compared to RO 5,783.2 million at the end of the third quarter of 2023, while agriculture, forestry and fishing activities increased by 9.7%, recorded RO 807.6 million, and service activities recorded RO 14,071.8 million.
