Muscat: The Minister of Labour, Dr. Mahad bin Saeed Baowain, praised the constructive dialogue and responsible discussions held with Their Excellencies, members of the Shura Council, during a meeting focused on key national development initiatives.
Dr. Baowain highlighted the session's emphasis on the "Employment Contracts Initiative," the "One Million Hours Initiative," and the "Sahem Program." These initiatives aim to boost employment opportunities for job seekers, empower Omani youth, and enhance their competitiveness in the labour market.
The meeting underscored shared visions and a mutual understanding of the labour sector's priorities and requirements. "We observed a conscious awareness by Their Excellencies of the national data and a shared commitment to shaping policies that ensure sustainable growth and economic and social stability," the Minister said.
The discussions reflected a strong spirit of cooperation and mutual trust, affirming that challenges can be addressed through solidarity and collective effort. The Ministry of Labour pledged to translate the meeting's outcomes into actionable steps, taking into account the observations raised during the session.
Dr. Baowain concluded by emphasising the Ministry's commitment to integration with state institutions to fulfil national goals and aspirations.
