External mosque speakers limited to prayer calls in Oman

The use of external loudspeakers in mosques is limited to the call to prayer in the Sultanate of Oman. An administrative fine not exceeding OMR 1,000 may be imposed in the event of violating the provisions of the Mosques Regulations. Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Saeed bin Khalfan Al-Maamari issued Ministerial Resolution No. 181/2023 amending some provisions of the Mosques Regulations on Sunday.
