Muscat: The Authority for Public Services Regulation, in cooperation with the Ministries of Energy, Minerals and Labour, Nama Holding Company and licensed companies in the electricity sector, is launching a program to Omanise some jobs in subcontractor companies that work on permanent contracts with companies licensed in the wilayats of the Sultanate.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said, “The program aims to provide an opportunity to train and employ 800 young Omanis in various technical positions, which will contribute to raising the current Omanisation rates from 47 per cent to nearly 90 per cent."
"This initiative comes as part of the Public Services Regulation Authority’s strategy to implement Oman Vision 2040 by developing and enabling Omanis to take up jobs in the electricity sector."
