Muscat: In line with its vision ‘To serve you better, everyday’ and commitment to partnership in promoting a strong savings culture in Oman, Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate will celebrate the Omani Youth Day, which falls on October 26, with a special draw for its Shababi account holders.
Fifty lucky customers will win prizes of RO 500 each in the Shababi special draw, which will be held in appreciation of the important role that the youth plays in the development and growth of the country.
Shababi accounts can be opened by youth between the age of 18 and 23 years old. It comes with several benefits including no minimum balance fee, the Shababi contactless debit card, exclusive competitions on social media, and participation in the Shababi monthly draw. Bank Muscat’s Shababi Debit Card is a card which helps Oman's youth to learn early to spend, save and manage their money and comes with a daily withdrawal limit of RO 600. It allows for several discounts and special offers at selected merchants. Shababi account holders can also apply for contactless wristbands with near-field communication (NFC) chip, which can be used to make contactless payments at different merchants and points of sales (PoS), similar to a contactless debit card. All customers who have a minimum balance of RO 10 are eligible to enter the Shababi monthly draw.
Bank Muscat recognises the goals and aspirations of its customers, especially the youth, who are the future of the country. The special draw and monthly prizes are a way to encourage them to save more for the future and carry forward this habit in their later years too.
The 2020 Al Mazyona scheme offers the biggest prizes in Oman with a total of RO 11 million to be won through the year during monthly draws and draws on special occasions including National Day, Women’s Day draw, Mid-year draw and the End-of-Year draw. Both the number of Al Mazyona prizes and the total prize money has been increased this year, with the total number of winners in the 2020 scheme going up by around 50% to 6,677 winners.
