Red tides found in Arabian Sea waters in Dhofar Governorate

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resource noticed the presence of environmental indicators of occurrence of the phenomenon of red tides in the Arabian Sea. 

A statement issued by Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources said, “ In view of the presence of environmental indicators of occurrence of the phenomenon of red tides in the Arabian Sea in Dhofar Governorate, it has been advised to not fishing in areas where this phenomenon exists. Also, avoid consuming dead fish and shellfish during that period. The Ministry’s specialists are monitoring this phenomenon and evaluating its impact."
