Muscat: Congratulations to the Class of 2020 who in challenging circumstances have achieved a strong set of results. ABA students achieved an average points score of 34 which is well above the world average of 29.9.
The maximum number of points in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) is 45. Year after year, students at ABA consistently outperform the world-wide averages for IB DP results.
This year is no different. Nine ABA students achieved 40 or more points which globally are in the top 9%. Included in this nine are 3 students who achieved a world-class score of 42 putting them in the top 4% of IB DP graduates world-wide. Fatma Al Bahrani, an Omani student is one among them.
“We are very proud of our Class of 2020, who have met the demands of the IB Diploma, viewed by universities as the gold standard since it best prepares students for further study and challenges that we face in the world today,” said Simon Walker, ABA High School Principal.
This year, ABA has graduates off to study at a number of top universities around the globe including University of Chicago, University College London, University of Pennsylvania, Durham University, University of California Berkeley, Imperial College London, University of Melbourne, the Delft University of Technology and the University of British Columbia.
