Muscat: Suhail Bahwan Automobiles unveiled the General Tire range in Oman. General Tyre, with a reputation for producing some of the world’s best off-road and on-road tyres, and a history stretching back over 100 years, has now arrived on Oman’s motoring scene.
Renowned for its ‘Anywhere is possible’ slogan, the brand has been introduced to the Sultanate in partnership with Suhail Bahwan Automobiles and offers a new range of safe, reliable and high-value tyres for car owners in Oman.
Founded in 1915, and now owned by the premium tyre and automotive technology company Continental, General Tyre operates worldwide and manufactures a wide range of tires for passenger cars, trucks and industrial applications. With its rich American heritage, the brand is best known for its robust and durable high-performance SUV and 4x4 tyres.

Grabber offers 4 patterns Grabber GT, Grabber HTS-60, Grabber AT-3 & Grabber X-3 which are asymmetric state-of-the-art pattern design for fast and powerful SUVs/4x4 vehicles. General Grabber keeps the very good performance of the Grabber HP/UHP and offers improved performance in safety, handling and comfort. Grabber tires are the tough highway terrain all-season tyres that provide the perfect synergy of comfort, durability and performance for light trucks, SUVs and crossovers.
Both the patterns Altimax & Grabber comes with the RTM (Replacement Tyre Monitor) technology that provides the user with a warning when the tire is worn and has to be replaced. The VAI (Visual Alignment Indicator) technology also allows the user to check wheel misalignment to avoid irregular wear of the tyres.
