Muscat: The guide book on COVID-19 #BREAKCORONA, is an initiative from Apollo Hospitals Muscat which was launched by Dr Mazin Al Khabouri, DG for Private Health Establishments, Ministry of Health in the presence of VT Saileswaran, Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Muscat, Dr Badr Al Jabri, Director of Medical Licensing Department of Private Health Establishments, Ministry of Health, Dr Munira Al Hashmi, Director of Quality Assurance and Patient Safety of Private Health Establishments, Dr Waleed Al Zedjali Chairman OMA and Medical Director of Apollo Hospitals, Muscat and K P Shobha, General Manager of Apollo Hospitals Muscat.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mazin appreciated the unique effort by Apollo hospital Muscat and commented that everyone has a shared responsibility in managing this pandemic.
Saileswaran said, “We have prepared this guide book with inputs from our Specialist and as per the WHO protocols. This will help us to be more precautious in our daily life while keeping ourselves, our families and colleagues safe from COVID-19. We have seen an exemplary model of managing COVID-19 in Oman, an effort which has set a benchmark for many countries. This guidebook is a small tribute to the noble efforts of the Sultanate blessed by the vision of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, Ministry of Health, Royal Oman Police and every citizen and resident who played their part diligently.”
Dr Waleed stated, "This is probably the first of its kind guidebook on COVID-19 in GCC states from a private health care provider and we request everyone to access this. We have kept this bilingual for everyone’s use and we would be sharing this online and offline modes.
The guide book covers every aspect of precautions in a simple format and clears all prevalent myths about COVID-19 and protocols for keeping offices and homes safe.
