Muscat: HSBC Bank Oman has launched the HSBCnet mobile app, giving corporate customers access to their HSBCnet account while on the move. In a first for the Oman market, companies can now manage their cash flow and trade finance, and get real-time transaction reporting, from the convenience of their mobile device.
“In these challenging times, much credit goes to the Omani government and the Central Bank of Oman for leading the transition to a more digitally-based payments ecosystem. The launch of the HSBCnet Mobile App underlines our commitment to providing our customers with a seamless and secure digital banking experience. HSBC is focused on building a strong and sustainable business in Oman, and we will continue investing in digital solutions to help customers stay even better connected to their finances,” said Simon Adcock, General Manager and Country Head, Commercial Banking, HSBC Bank Oman.
Anirudh Nagarkatti, Country Head, Global Liquidity & Cash Management, HSBC Bank Oman, added, “HSBC is committed to using technology and innovation to provide clients with simpler, more convenient and even more secure banking services. Our app gives customers mobile-optimised access to their HSBCnet account, allowing them to manage their accounts anytime, anywhere.”
The HSBCnet mobile app also incorporates 'Mobile Device Authentication', a mobile-based alternative to physical security tokens.
Commenting on the launch, Mohamed Mansour, Country Head, Global Trade and Receivables Finance, HSBC Bank Oman, said, “As an innovative mobile tool that allows businesses to better manage their global trade flows, the HSBCnet Trade Transaction Tracker is a game-changer for our corporate clients and partners. It is a real-time tool providing traceability and visibility on the entire trade transaction tracking process through an advanced technological platform.”
HSBCnet Trade Transaction Tracker gives clients a global view of their documentary credits, collections, trade loans and guarantees across the world in a single app. Trade Authorisation enables corporates to authorise import trade transactions for submission to HSBC and also view trade transactions.
The HSBCnet Mobile app is now available for free download from the App Store and Google Play Store.
