Aster Al Raffah launches free mobile testing service

Muscat: Aster Al Raffah Hospitals and Clinics, one of the most prominent and largest private hospital establishments in Oman, the GCC and India, has launched Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Services in collaboration with Oman’s Ministry of Health.
The initiative aims to provide free medical consultations and testing to residents of Wilayat Muttrah – a province of Muscat that has been hit particularly badly by the Covid-19 pandemic. The initiative is aimed at providing the highest standards of care to residents whose access to medical services may have been disrupted due to the ongoing pandemic and subsequent restrictions to movement. The highly accessible service enables residents to consult expert medical professionals and share their Covid-19 related health concerns without having to visit a busy hospital.
Each day the clinic is staffed by a doctor, nurse, medical attendant, driver and several Aster Volunteers. The majority of people visiting the mobile bus are have come into direct contact with a Covid-19 patient or are suffering from a fever or cough.

Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Service is a part of the Aster Volunteers - a corporate social responsibility initiative of Aster DM Healthcare that has impacted over 1.3 million lives. The initiatives launched by Aster Volunteers have been carried out in India, Ethiopia and Oman, as well as plans to launch in other GCC countries that Aster is operating in. In addition to the mobile clinic, Aster Volunteers will also be distributing food parcels to workers in labour camps around Muscat.
