GAC reopens service centres across Oman

Muscat: General Automotive Company (GAC), the official distributor of Mitsubishi and FUSO vehicles in Oman, has announced that it has now reopened its service and spare parts centres across the country following the COVID-19 lockdown period.
Commenting on the reopening of the service centres, Manoj Ranade, the General Manager of GAC said, “In the period while our service centres have been closed, some of our customers have been unable to have their vehicles serviced. As such we are glad to be back in business. However, the safety of our customers and staff is of paramount importance to us. We will, therefore, be strictly adhering to the government’s directives and social distancing controls, as well as ensuring that our staff have ready access to all safety and sanitary products necessary to keep themselves safe during this period.”
As part of the reopening, GAC has announced the implementation of an exhaustive sanitisation programme for all vehicles that come in as well as leave our service centres. Furthermore, in line with government directives, all GAC service centres will be implementing a ‘Safe vehicle check-in/check-out’ process. Under this directive, every customer bringing their vehicle in for a service will be met by a single, dedicated service representative outside the service centre premises to check the vehicle in as well as deliver it back to the customer. In doing so, GAC ensures that every customer will only have a single point of contact throughout the service process to ensure their well-being.
“In addition to these measures, we have also implemented an online booking service wherein customers can book their vehicle in for service directly via the Zubair Automotive app, which is available on both apple and android devices. We expect there to be a lot of demand, especially during the initial period of the reopening of our service centres. However, given the limitations on the number of customers we can attend to at any one time, we highly recommend all customers wishing to bring their vehicles in to make an appointment at the earliest possible to avoid a long waiting period,” added Manoj.
As a value-added benefit, GAC will also be offering free parts delivery on all orders over OMR100 during this time.
