Muscat: The list of approved companies and establishments running pilgrims transport business was announced by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, through its official account on social media.
Putting all six companies and establishments under one campaign, the Ministry has asked the listed companies and establishments running pilgrims transport business to update their data in the online registration application at www.hajj.om, by May 12.
As per the announcement, companies and establishments that fail to meet the deadline for data update will have their permissions cancelled.
The announcement also noted that once the companies and establishments update their data, they can provide their competing offers to the public.
The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs has also called on the Haj pilgrims to stick to the approved companies listed in the announcement.
A total 23,966 online applications for Haj have been received, the Ministry noted last week. The list of pilgrims to perform Haj this year is likely to be announced next week, according to the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.
Earlier, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry had asked all companies and establishments running pilgrims transport business to submit their approval they get from the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Companies and establishments have to submit their approval within six months from the date of the announcement, failing which, the Ministry will cancel the activity from their registers.
