More than 200 expat workers arrested in Muscat

Muscat: The Ministry of Man Power represented by the inspection team in Muscat governorate have arrested 209 expatriate workers on charges of violating the Labour Law.

A statement issued online by Man Power Ministry said: “The Ministry, represented by the inspection team in Muscat governorate , during the period 5-9 of January 2020, arrested 209 expat workers in violation of the Labor Law and Ministerial Decisions implemented during the inspection campaigns. The legal measures are underway.”
