New edition of ‘Oman Maritime Book’ released

Muscat: Oman National Hydrographic Office (ONHO) of the Royal Navy of Oman, has issued the 2020 edition of its annual manual “Oman Maritime Book”.
The fresh publication contains important facts meant to provide sufficient information for sailors, seafarers, researchers and other interested groups about the sea state, high tide and low tide, as well as ship wrecks, navigational lights, wireless signals of the Sultanate’s waters and a table of Omani navigational charts.
It also contains excerpts of data from similar manuals imparting information about neighbouring water zones.
The book includes a table of distances between Omani seaports and ports of neighbouring countries.
The new edition covers all territorial Omani waters, including commercial seaports, fishing harbours and selected parts of the coasts of neighbouring countries.
