Muscat: The Ministry of Manpower implemented an inspection campaign against workers who were in violation of the labour and residence laws in Muscat Governorate leading to the arrest of several.
Legal measures were taken against them.
A statement issued online by the Ministry of Manpower said: “The Ministry, represented by the Joint Inspection Team in Muscat, in cooperation with Muscat Municipality, carried out an inspection campaign this evening against workers in Wilayat Al Seeb in Al Khoud, North Al Hail and Al Maabilah.”
“Where it resulted in the arrest of 18 workers who violated the Labour Law, working in the sale of vegetables, fruits and tobacco in public places," the Ministry added.
