Muscat: You can carry double your baggage allowance if you are travelling from Muscat to Ahmedabad, Cochin, Delhi, Mumbai, Colombo, Manila and Cairo on Kuwait Airways.
Speaking to the Times of Oman, Rajan Jayaraman, district sales manager-Oman, Kuwait Airways, said passengers travelling to these destinations will get a free allowance of two pieces of baggage weighing 23 kilograms (kg) each, with a total of 46 kg.
“This offer is valid for passengers travelling from Muscat and returning to the above destinations until June 30,” he said. From last month, Kuwait Airways is operating five flights a week between Muscat and Kuwait, which is connected to various destinations in India and the sub-continent, the Middle East, Far East and Europe. “The introduction of the new flight will cater to the growing demand for traffic between Kuwait and Muscat,” Jayaraman said.
He said, Kuwait Airways has introduced a new baggage policy recently called “baggage made simple” under which all its routes are now operating on a piece concept basis. “The above offer has been introduced at selected destinations for attracting more passengers during the summer, including families who wish to avail more free baggage allowance on their return too,” he stated.
Further, in addition to more free baggage allowance, Kuwait Airways is also offering very attractive fares to the aforementioned destinations. Fuel surcharge removal Kuwait Airways recently removed fuel surcharge taxes on its fares due to the continuing drop in oil prices and thus provided more affordable fares to all destinations for customers choosing to fly with Kuwait Airways. In order to promote the new additional services, Kuwait Airways has launched special promotional offers to Kuwait, various destinations in the Indian sub-continent and the far East to attract passengers, where return fares begin from OMR56 to India and to the far East they begin from OMR170 (excluding the airport taxes).
