Imran Khan heads to UAE to boost ties

Muscat: Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was recently welcomed to the UAE on his first official visit to the UAE.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of the UAE, issued a statement in Urdu on Twitter, saying, "We welcome the Prime Minister of Pakistan to the UAE.
"Our brotherhood and bilateral trade has a long history, and we are proud of this partnership", he added.
The meeting between the two was their first since Khan took the oath of office. According to Khan's party, international and regional issues were discussed during the meeting.
During his visit, Pakistan's premier laid a wreath at Abu Dhabi's Wahat Al Karama (Martyr's Square) and visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
