Muscat: Bank Sohar’s popular Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme heralded a fresh crop of excited winners during its monthly draw for November. An event celebrating yet another successful wrap-up of the savings scheme was held in Wilayat Sohar under the auspices of Hilal Nasser Abdullah Al Sidrani, member of Al Shura Council Wilayat Sohar.
The scheme awarded total cash prizes of OMR45,000 to 32 lucky winners, continuing its tradition of incentivising thriftiness and fostering an attitude of financial prudence among customers.
Commenting on the draws, Rajeev Arora, DGM and head of Retail Banking said, “The Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme has been one of the most popular products from our retail banking segment. Its success can be attributed to the fact that it is among the most inclusive and flexible savings schemes in the industry that applies to different age demographics - with categories extending from hourly and weekly draws to monthly and branch draws - making everyone a possible winner. The grand turnout today of our esteemed customers in itself reflects the credibility of our prize draw scheme as well as the faith and appreciation they are bestowing on us across the entire country. The scheme is carefully calibrated to ensure that all customers are given the opportunity to be rewarded in order to encourage further savings. Going by the success of these draws, we can say that Bank Sohar has been reaping rich dividends for all its customers, touching their lives and spurring them on towards their dreams. Today, we usher in another successful turnout of winners; and on behalf of everyone present I offer my sincerest congratulations to all of them.”
“With the announcement of the month of November winner, we have now rewarded well beyond 1,250 individuals across all categories of the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme. However, this is not the end of the scheme and there are still more opportunities for customers to win in the forthcoming Year End Draws encompassing OMR10,000 in children’s’ draws, OMR20,000 in regional draws, and OMR100,000 in exclusive draws, hence we encourage everyone to increase their chances by saving more,” Rajeev added.
