Muscat: Reinforcing its efforts to be the best in the Gulf through providing suitable training and development for its staff, BankDhofar recently launched its training and developing platform ‘Performance Academy’.
The launch ceremony was held under the patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri, Minister of Manpower and attended by the Chairman Eng. Abdul Hafidh Salim Rajab Al Aujaili, top executive management team, and a number of invitees.
Abdullah Al Bakri noted: “We congratulate BankDhofar for this achievement. Performance Academy will contribute in developing human resources of the bank, which will positively reflect on BankDhofar’s performance. HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said has placed great importance on developing human resources being the key pillar of development. We have seen great efforts at BankDhofar with this regard which was translated in the inauguration of Performance Academy, and we wish them success and further progress.”
In his speech, Abdul Hakeem Omar Al Ojaili, CEO of BankDhofar thanked board members for their support, believing that training and development are the key elements of achieving progress, “At BankDhofar we believe that our employees are our partners in making achievements. Therefore, we prioritize providing them suitable training to enhance their professional skills.”

We aim through this academy to provide best learning and development experience, and accordingly reap the benefits in our ‘Together 2020’ journey,” CEO of BankDhofar added.
Located in Panorama Mall – 3rd floor, and equipped with state-of-art facilities, Performance Academy includes classrooms where training sessions are conducted, a library full of resources, and computer labs. Additionally, with the aim of equipping its employees with required skills to best serve the customers, the academy includes a mock branch where employees are trained and they go through the real experience. BankDhofar, through the academy, aims to make training available to all its employees through its branch network across Oman. Certified online learning and development courses will be available for staff of BankDhofar across different regions.
As part of the event Dr Yasmeen Al Balushi, Dean of Muscat College, delivered a speech where she highlighted the importance of developing employees of any organisation. She thanked the efforts placed by BankDhofar in establishing Performance Academy, which will serve as a learning and development platform.
Commenting on the launch of BankDhofar Performance Academy, Dr Khalid Al Hamadani, head of Performance Academy noted: “At BankDhofar we believe that through providing training and developing talents of our employees we will be able to achieve our goals and provide best services and products to our customers. Today, we are delighted to launch Performance Academy which will serve as a learning and development platform for BankDhofar employees across different departments and branches.”
