Muscat: JMT Events with Soul of Muscat is organising a mega event in association with Oman Cancer Association.
The event ‘Together We Can’ is to help the Oman Cancer Association in its projects to aid the underprivileged cancer patients and to create awareness about cancer among people of this country. The programme will be held on Thursday, November 30 at 7pm at City Amphitheatre Qurum.
Indramani Pandey, Indian Ambassador to Oman, will preside over the function. Padmavibhushan Dr K. J. Yesudas will be honoured at this mega event. Yesudas is fondly called 'Gaana Gandharvan' (The Celestial Singer). He is considered to be a cultural icon of the Malayalam language as well as of its ethnic group spread across the world - largely to the fact that his songs have been profoundly ingrained into the minds of Malayalam speaking people for five decades.
The musical and dance show will be headed by Padmasree Jayaram, renowned south Indian film actor accompanied by Suraj Venjaramoodu, a National Award winning south Indian actor, Asha Sarath, the famous dancer and popular actress, Mamtha Mohandas, the versatile actress, Rimy Tomy, the mesmerising singer and actress, Aparna Balamurali, the popular new generation actress and Mithun, popular TV show host.
The most famous Band Masala Coffee will lead the musical extravaganza. Another main attraction of the event will be the spectacular performance by Sabareesh Prabhaker, the violinist.
Entry is through the purchase of tickets. The organisers are conducting maximum free cancer awareness and medical camps in association with various organisations before the main event.
