Muscat: Bank Sohar recently conducted the monthly draws for its popular Al Mumayaz savings scheme in the Wilayat of Bahla under the auspices of Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Salim Al Abdul Salam, Wali of Bahla. The event, which was held at the Omani Women’s Association, played host to yet another round of successful draws.
During the event, Rajeev Arora, DGM and head of Retail Banking, noted: “I would like to congratulate the 32 winners of the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme who won a total of OMR45,000 in cash prizes this month. It represents the success of the scheme not only through its comprehensive rewards system but also in being a reliable savings instrument for all our customers. Over the years, the scheme has amassed a wide following across the entire range of our customer portfolio as a result of its appeal and relevance to all age groups and account holders; with the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme there is a reward for everyone.”
“Today marks yet another milestone for the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme that reflects our firm commitment towards developing products around customers’ requirements while providing a complete banking experience. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage our customers to continue savings and benefit from its many advantages,” he added.
The event embodied various activities including a poetry session, traditional Omani folklore dances, theatre performance, a short film on Bank Sohar’s 10th anniversary, audience raffle draws, a group photo with the guest of honour and invited guests, followed by dinner. During the event, a welcome speech was delivered by Hamed Nasser Al Hinaai, Bahla Branch Manager, followed by a brief on the Savings Scheme 2017 by Abdullah Al Mahmoodi, chief manager of Event & Promotion at Bank Sohar.
The Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme Monthly Draws were conducted starting off with the Children’s Draw which saw Taimour Al Mashari (Minor) from Qurum Branch, win OMR1,000. The Female Draw followed, which saw Karima Al Sabahi from Barka Branch win OMR5,000. The final draw of the day was the General Draw, which saw Said Al Hinai from Rustaq Branch win OMR10,000.
The monthly branch draws witnessed a customer from each of the bank’s branches win OMR1,000.
