Oman businesses weigh partnership for agricultural bank in Malawi

Muscat: An investment partnership for establishing an agricultural bank in Malawi was discussed when a trade delegation from that country visited the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) on Tuesday.
Eng. Ridha bin Juma Al Saleh, Deputy Chairman of OCCI for Financial and Administrative Affairs praised the Omani-Malay relations in the fields and sectors of trade and economy and the importance of strengthening relations and trade exchange between the two friendly countries in various fields.
He pointed out that the Sultanate has many opportunities for investment, in addition to the facilities provided to the foreign investor.
He pointed out that the Sultanate aspires to trade partnership with the Republic of Malawi and benefit from the experiences of businessmen from Malawi.
The Malawian delegation reviewed the possibilities and investment opportunities in Malawi in various sectors, including agriculture, banks and the import of goods and commodities.
The economy of Malawi is predominantly agricultural, and the visiting delegation is looking forward to exchanging experiences and benefiting from Omani businessmen in this field, as well as trade exchange between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by a group of Omani businessmen and concluded with bilateral meetings between the two parties.
