Muscat: Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Council of the Higher Institute of Judiciary and Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Dhoyani, Chairman of the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA) yesterday approved the Special Documents Management System for the Higher Institute for Judiciary. They approved the tables for retaining the special documents and the method of their classifications.
These tools have been developed after completing a number of stages the latest of which was NRAA approval of the tables and their classification system in implementation of the National Documents and Archives Law issued by the Royal Decree No.60/2007.
This system applies to all administrative divisions to ensure quick access and easy retrieval.
This system enables systematic selection of the documents for national member and scientific research. According to the provision of article 41 of the Documents and Archives Law, NRAA will supervise and coordinate the implementation of the system at all divisions.
The approval of this system marks the building of a modern system for documents management at the level of all agencies governed by the Documents and Archives Law.
It should be noted that as of today, 47 public organisations approved the system.
